our story
The designer duo behind the brand
The company was founded in 2018 by designers and close friends, Emma von Brömssen and Daniel Långelid, who were brought together by their shared love for the history of patterns, wallpaper and interior design. They are convinced that nothing dresses a room quite like patterned walls.
When creating, inspiration can come from anywhere – a film, an exhibition, a journey, or an old fairy tale.
It always begins with an idea, and gradually the design process takes over, allowing you to compose your own story.
All wallpapers are designed by Emma and Daniel.

"a sprig of lingonberry in a cocktail glass"
our motto
This quotation by the late author Tage Danielsson referred to his dear friend, Swedish jazz singer Monica Zetterlund.
It contrasts something natural, humble, and distinctly Swedish (the lingonberry) with the refined, cosmopolitan imagery of a cocktail glass, reflecting Zetterlund’s blend of down-to-earth charm and sophistication.
This metaphor beautifully captures the approach of Långelid /von Brömssen to design. Just as Monica Zetterlund embodied the juxtaposition of Swedish heritage with elegant refinement, we combine the timeless art of traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design sensibilities. We aspire for our wallpapers, much like the lingonberry in the cocktail glass, to carry a sense of Swedish heritage while adding a touch of cosmopolitan flair and pleasure.
Always paying homage to artisans, craftspeople and local manufacturers
our process
Craftsmanship is central to the entire production process, and the creation of new wallpapers happens in close collaboration between designers, colourists, and printers. All wallpapers are locally printed in western Sweden at the wallpaper manufacturer Ulricehamns Tapetfabrik.
Here a modern and eco-friendly production using water-based inks and non-woven backing from PEFC accredited sources meet with traditional printing techniques such as rotary screen printing and surface printing.

surface print
the traditional printing technique
Surface-printed wallpapers are created using a traditional printing method where thick, water-based inks are applied to the wallpaper using engraved rollers. Each roller applies a different color in layers, creating a rich, textured effect. As the ink is transferred, it often leaves a slightly raised pattern, giving the wallpaper a unique, hand-crafted look. This method produces wallpapers with a distinct, classic charm.
wallpaper primula
The flowers are performing their dance on the wall. Promising, like a field of primroses in May, that summer is on its way.

rotary screen print
for bold patterns and delicate textures
Rotary screen-printed wallpapers are made by pushing ink through a patterned, cylindrical mesh screen as it rotates over the wallpaper substrate. Each screen cylinder applies one color, so multiple screens are used for multicolored designs. This technique allows for precise detailing and vibrant colors, producing wallpapers with a smooth, even finish and high-quality look. Rotary screen printing is ideal for bold patterns as well as for delicate textures.
wallpaper cornucopia
In classical antiquity, the cornucopia, from Latin cornu (horn) and copia (abundance), also called the horn of plenty, was a symbol of abundance and nourishment, commonly a large horn-shaped container overflowing with fruit, flowers, or nuts.
